Extending the droop...

I don't know that I will ever find a perfect echinacea bloom. Nevertheless, they appeal to me. Maybe it is that I hear of their reported medicinal value. Or it might be that I identify with their drooping often ragged edge petals.

In this morning's sunlight they called out to me...

ps. this vertical format is outside my usual and i was again reminded why...computer screens present a horizontal canvas so working on vertical images is not very satisfying, unless you don't mind small images or scrolling them. i prefer neither but this compostion needed to be vertical which looks great as a print!
