My time of the year,
although much too brief.

A walk of denial
in desperation
attempting
to fend off
the coming gloom.

An indian summer so vivid
I contemplated seasons reverted,

except for fallen leaves
colorful barges
on fluid blue sky reflections
gone all too soon
a frozen hardness remaining,

but then
another cycle
brings hope again.
