Drawn in for a closer look...

This week after returning from my trip to Bosnia, I was surprised to see these lilies blooming in our flower bed by the deck at the cottage. I must have planted them last year but had forgotten about them.

They are one of the newer varieties in the day lily family, but I have forgotten their name, just as I had forgotten that I had planted them. Nevertheless, I was drawn in by the pattern of coloration, which is probably why I planted them in the first place.
